Last November 21, members of the Bachelor of Hotel and Restaurant Management flew to St. Paul University Manila to participate in Green Fair 2013–an annual event participated by all colleges and universities within the St. Paul University System. Three of our Paulinians–Gion Karlo Alvarez, Abbygain Folok, and Ma. Jocyvel Pamin, participated in the COOK-OFF CHALLENGE, competing against St. Paul University PhilippinesST. PAUL UNIVERSITY DUMAGUETE, and St. Paul University Quezon City. With cassava as main ingredient, our Paulinians cooked “crispy bakwit” for appetizer, “bakwit meatballs with cassava squash sauce” for main dish, and “bakwit delight” for dessert. With these entries, our Paulinians won and were named champions of the said challenge. CONGRATULATIONS! What could possibly be the secret ingredient of this succcess? Jocyvel answered, “Team work!”
