SPC schools in Iloilo that comprised of St. Paul University Iloilo, St. Paul School Barotac Nuevo, and St, Paul School Barotac Viejo, held their joint strategic planning on July 3-4, 2017 at the newly constructed SPUI Basic Education Building at Ticud, Lapaz in Iloilo City. This was the first time that the three SPC schools in Iloilo met to plan together, cascade, clarify, and contextualize the SPC Education Ministry (SPCEM) 2017-2020 plan that was presented and ratified at the 2017 SPC Educators’ Congress held in May 2017 at St. Paul College Pasig. The Iloilo Cluster Strategic Planning was facilitated by Sister Dedicacion Rosario, SPC, Directress of St. Paul College Pasig and Sr. Aileen Bonifacio, VP of Christian Formation and Student Services of St. Paul University Surigao. The cluster strategic planning in Iloilo was keynoted by Sr. Maria Nilda Masirag, SPC, Provincial Assistant for Education and President of St. Paul University Quezon City.
The strategic planning focused on the concept of TRUTH as spelled out in the 2017 SPCEM Educators’ Congress: Trust, Respect, Unity, Transparency, and Humility. To contextualize the SPCEM plan, the participants revisited their own respective Vision and Mission, identified the building blocks and pitfalls in their planning, and aligned their own Key Result Areas (KRAs) with those of SPCEM’s: 1) Paulinian Formation, 2) Quality Teaching and Learning Systerms, 3) Value-Innovated Programs and Services, and 4) Good Governance and Stewardship.
“Value formation remains to be our core strength. How do we translate that into a brand image that defines a Paulinian education?”
The two-day strategic planning ended with each school’s participants signing their own plans and KRAs to signify their ownership and commitment to what they have set forth in 2017-2020. Individual plans of actions will be conducted by each school. SPUI scheduled its own formulation of action plans on July 19, 2017. The leaders of each schools, Sr. Mila Grace A. Silab, President of SPUI, Sr. Eleanor Amante, SPC, Directress/Principal, St. Paul School Barotac Nuevo, and Sr. Esperanza Rodriguez, SPC, Directress/Principal, St. Paul Barotac Viejo – all vowed to actualize the plans as signed by them and the participants.
