The administrators, faculty members, students, alumni, and parents, all stakeholders of St. Paul U College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) gathered to a one-day curriculum review on November 20, 2014 at the Marian Theater. With the theme, “One Goal, One Vision,” the stakeholders brainstormed together on how to refine the CAS vision and mission to align them to St. Paul U’s overall vision, mission, and goals.

University President, Sr. Carolina S. Agravante, SPC commended CAS organizers, led by Dean Jieza Napone, on undertaking this academic exercise. In her words, “Curriculum gives pulse to what we do, it directs our choices, makes us development-oriented, and puts us on par with educators on Philippine shores and the world.”

Dean Napone acknowledged the seriousness of this task, “This is not an easy task that is why we have invited you our dear stakeholders to brainstorm with us to collaborate with us, so we may all together see and concretely put into writing what the College of Arts and Sciences of St. Paul University Iloilo will be years from now and lay down the map clearly so together, we may achieve that one goal and one vision hand-in-hand.”
The stakeholders reformulated CAS vision and mission and broke out into groups according to programs: AB English and Theater Arts (ABETA), AB Communication, BS Biology, and BS Psychology to examine the existing course offerings. They also made suggestions on what each program could do to firm up its research agenda.
Certificates of appreciation were awarded to the stakeholders that participated in the curriculum review.
