Bringing the banner of SPUI, Eena Cabonegro, Shaira Candari, Korina Camille Coo, Brechelyn Familiaran, Charlene Lim, and Aya Malaga paved their way through the rough roads, aiming for the gold. Two of the Paulinian writers aced in the seminar on Campus Journalism at the Iloilo Grand Hotel last July 31 to August 2, 2013, bringing the honor and pride to the Paulinian University.
Korina camille Coo of BSHRM along with Aya Malaga of BS Psychology were both chosen as, “Most Promising Editorial Writers.”
The Philippine Information Agency VI (PIA) conducts this activity every year to equip campus writers of the basics of journalism and enhance their potentials in the different forms of writing. Each participant is required to submit an output from which outstanding writers are recognized.
This year, the seminar was held on the 31st of July until the 2nd of August. In every genre of writing, ten of the creme de la creme writers were commended for excellence. SPUI, as one of the participating universities in Western Visayas, sent six of its publication writers to join the conference.
