Thirteen new faculty members attended the Orientation on Paulinian Education last June 23, 2012, Saturday, at the Center for Teaching and Learning. Sr. Carolina S. Agravante, SPC, the University President, delivered the welcome remarks and presented the Vision and Mission of St. Paul University Iloilo. On the other hand, Sr. Nicole De Marie Dabalus, SPC, the Vice President for Christian Formation, gave a talk on the Genesis, History and Distinction of Paulinian Education. The other topics presented were as follows: Use of Library Services, SPU Iloilo Research Culture, Faculty Manual, Compensation, Policies, Honoraria and Faculty Benefits, SPU Iloilo Cooperative, and Clearance Policies.
This endeavor was intended to assist these new faculty members to have a smooth entry into the Paulinian education culture. Moreover, the activity provided the participants with an overview of the administration’s expectations, at the same time, acquaint them with the salient features of the Faculty Manual.
Mrs. Marianne Sotelo, the Program Chair of the Graduate School Nursing Program, served as the facilitator for the event.
