The Iloilo Private Schools Athletic Associations (ILOPRISAA) Literary-Musical, Sports, and Academic Competition held its series of contests last November 19-25, 2011 with Iloilo Doctor’s College as host of the annual event.
St. Paul University Iloilo (SPU Iloilo) participated along with the various colleges and universities in Iloilo for the chance of representing the city in the regional level of the competition.
The first win of SPU Iloilo was courtesy of Krystle Quirao, BSBIO II, Science Contest Champion with Mrs. Rhoda Mae Simora as coach.
Iana Imperial, CFP, and Michael Cartel, CFP, bagged third place in the Dance Sport (Latin Category) contest. The Hiphop Dance Contest participants also places third, with Miss Glea Joy Paulino as their trainer in both categories.
Rose Kareen Defensor, ABMC III, was declared champion in the Character Interpretation contest with Mr. Nick Alfred Umadhay as her trainer. El Maico Armada, BSN III, with Mrs. Jieza Napone as trainer and Mr. Leonard Pineda I as the contest piece writer also places first in the English Oration contests. Both students will advance to the regional level of the competition to represent the city of Iloilo.
Over-all, SPU Iloilo displayed a wonderful performance in the various contests of the said event.
