A Heart for Those in Need

College of Nursing–a journey to reach those in need

Last June 5th, members of Paulinian Nursing Student Organization (PNSO) walked an extra mile to help the Bukidnon and Aeta tribes of two barangays in Janiuay, Iloilo. The Nursing Students were accompanied by their Clinical Instructors in the distribution of school supplies which the children of these tribes really need for their classes. The fund for the school supplies was taken from the Fun Run event led by the College of Nursing held early this year.

To get to the place, the students endured the heat of the sun, rode at the back of a large truck (transportation to the place was difficult), and passed by rivers and rocky dusty roads. When they reached the two barangays, immense joy overwhelmed the students as the two tribes greeted them with smiles and glee. It was one of those days any Paulinian would never forget.

Paulinians will always have a heart to give even if it meant crossing rivers and enduring the scorching heat of the sun just to get there.

Truly, the LOVE OF CHRIST impels us!
