The Pork Barrel Scam is a true blow on the reality of the state of corruption in the Philippine Government, but let us continue to remain in hope that justice may be served and that everyone is given their due. Let us pray that our leaders may be strengthened in fighting the urge for power, greed, selfishness, and self-glorification. In our own little ways, let us be exemplars of honesty, generosity, and love. As Maximus Aurelius in the movie, The Gladiator, said, “What we do today echoes in eternity.”
