Times and Seasons: A hope of our lives

Khalil Gibran once said “You would accept the seasons of your heart just as you have always accepted that seasons pass over your fields.” It is with this quote that dignifies another brand new reason of celebration that blooms in the hearts of every Paulinian soul.

Believing that the essence of time is a renaissance of the periods of our lives, St. Paul University Iloilo, in cooperation with the SPUI Wellness Center feted the 7th annual university velada with the theme “Sariling Atin: Times and Seasons” on March 7-9, 2013 at the university gymnasium.

The said concert which was apportioned in both matinee and gala shows was infused with a cavalcade of songs and dances. This was spearheaded by Mrs. Mary Jane de Gracia, Wellness Program Head together with Ms. Joan Paulette Mary Libo-on as the Associate Director. The production team also includes Mrs. Jieza Napone, Scriptwriter; Mrs. Claudette Anne Cormary, Musical Director; and Choreographers, Ms. Glea Joy Paulino, Mr. Crimson Guirjem, and Ms. Ninfa Ang.

This year’s velada focuses on its theme that is based on the incessant progression of our lives as persons where we travel through ages and learn through experiences. Hence, in forming this whole set of theatrical presentation, the showcase of Paulinian talents are also inspired to fulfill the passion of performing arts and to instill the wonders of time… its unique revolution within us.

Spectators, as well, are also awed by the glimpse of an overall endowment not only from Paulinians but as well as from guests and families who were able to remark this artful way of reflecting the theme’s grandeur.

St. Paul University’s yearly velada is an annual production for the showcase of Paulinian talents and holistic education through the aid of the reflection of each person’s provocation to reach the time of their lives.
