Violie Cabundocan, a fourth year Paulinian Nursing student received the Best in Oral Presentation (Mother and Child Nursing) award during the First Philippine Forum of Nursing Scholars held last March 7, 2013 at the University of Santo Tomas Espana, Manila with her study entitled “The Effect of Visayan Folk Music on the Behavioral State of Roomed-In Neonates“. Ms. Cabundocan was accompanied by her research adviser, Mrs. Analyn Sa-an in the said forum. The theme of the conference was “Translating Research Evidence into Practice”. The one-day conference provided an avenue for researchers to share knowledge in research and disseminate research findings to colleagues, thus facilitating research utilization and translation of knowledge to practice.
