CTE inks MOA with Sister Schools and La Paz District

The College of Teacher Education entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in the conduct of Field Study and Student Teaching exposures with St. Paul University Iloilo sister schools, St. Paul School (SPS) Barotac Viejo and Nuevo on July 13, 2012. On the same date, another MOA was signed between the University President and the District Supervisor of La Paz, Dr. Wilhelma P. Gabuan in the conduct of the same activity.

Sr. Carolina S. Agravante, SPC , SPUI president , as represented by Dr. Sunny G. Gabinete, Dean, College of Teacher Education, facilitated the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement with Sr. Esperanza U. Rodriguez, SPC and Sr. Nela A. Ramirez, SPC, directress/principal of SPS Barotac Viejo and Nuevo , respectively.

The MOA highlights the conduct of Field Study and Student Teaching activities in the aforementioned schools with the assistance of their respective classroom teachers to better equip SPUI pre-service educators with good training ground and foundation for teaching in both elementary and secondary levels.

Further, the pre-service students will conduct observation of classes with the teachers of the aforementioned schools as cooperating teachers or critics as well as serving as resource teachers at the same time. The dean of the department will arrange the schedule prior to the date of observation.
