In a heartwarming display of compassion, two students from St. Paul University Iloilo (SPUI) have been lauded for their brave rescue of a dog trapped in a canal at G Park, Iloilo City.
Lemuel Magrare, a 21-year-old Special Needs Education student, and Chex Quentin Pardilla, 23, a BS Biology student, were part of a group that noticed the distressed animal and wasted no time rushing to its aid.
The dog had been struggling in the water for nearly 20 minutes, weak and exhausted. Without hesitation, the two young men sprang into action, pulling the animal to safety.
