Students and faculty from the College of Hospitality Management, Tourism, and Nutrition and Dietetics, together with the Office for Sustainable Development Goals of St. Paul University Iloilo, proudly participated in the Ilonggo Youth and SDG Commitment Day last April 24, 2026.

Held in celebration of Filipino Food Month, the event highlighted the richness of Filipino culinary heritage while connecting food culture to sustainability and youth-driven action.

Eight universities and colleges showcased their initiatives and pledged commitments to specific Sustainable Development Goals.

Representing SPU Iloilo, Ms. Jing H. Ang from the Office for SDGs, presented the University’s community and student initiatives aligned with SDG 1: No Poverty—reaffirming our commitment to building inclusive, empowered, and sustainable communities.

Together with fellow institutions, SPU Iloilo stands with the Ilonggo youth in creating meaningful impact for people and planet.

The event also fostered collaboration among participating institutions, encouraging the exchange of ideas and best practices in advancing the SDGs.

It served as a platform for young leaders to strengthen their role in shaping a more sustainable and equitable future.
