SPUI Celebrates Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary and Teachers’ Day 2025

St. Paul University Iloilo (SPUI) observed a meaningful convergence of faith and recognition on October 7, 2025, as the institution celebrated both the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary and Teachers’ Day 2025 at the Fr. Louis Chauvet Gymnasium.

The event commenced with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration, offering thanksgiving for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and honoring the educators and support staff who continuously guide students in both character and intellect.

The liturgy emphasized the importance of faith-centered education and the enduring commitment of those who serve within the Paulinian community.

After the Mass, the program transitioned into a lively gathering that reflected both appreciation and fellowship.

Members of the academic and non-academic staff participated in a retro-themed celebration, highlighting the spirit of unity and joy that defines the university’s culture.

A notable part of the occasion was a surprise birthday tribute to Sr. Teresita Baricaua, SPC, University President, in acknowledgment of her leadership, pastoral care, and dedication to the mission of the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres.

The program also featured student performances and creative presentations expressing gratitude to mentors.

Through music, art, and portrayal, students conveyed their admiration for the teachers who continue to inspire excellence and compassion.

The highlight of the event was a musical offering dedicated to all educators, symbolizing heartfelt appreciation for their unwavering service.

As an expression of the institution’s gratitude, tokens of recognition were presented to teachers and support staff for their outstanding contributions to the university’s mission of holistic education.

The day’s celebration reflected the university’s steadfast commitment to honoring its educators and nurturing a community grounded in faith, gratitude, and shared purpose.
