The 2011 Christmas Tree of Hope was launched at the lobby of St. Paul’s Hospital last December 9, 2011 in partnership with ABS-CBN Iloilo.
It has been four years since St. Paul’s Hospital and St. Paul University Iloilo joined the said project because it is said to be one of their ways of serving the people around them.
“God gave us this time to share hope to those people who are in need. Let us continue to give hope to the poor.” SPH Administrator Sr. Rosamond Marie Abadesco, SPC, stressed during her speech.
The Christmas Tree of Hope is just one of the ABS-CBN “Gugma sa Paskwa” projects which was supported by SPH and SPU Iloilo, with hope as its most outstanding value.
“Aside for publicity and exposure, the project is also a part of the institution’s priority program as a health care institution in direct service to our less fortunate brothers and sisters.,” said Mr. Prince Juliene Hermaine Celo, Marketing and Client Relations Head who led the launching.
Present in the said occasion who hanged stars at the tree are St. Paul University Iloilo President Sr. Carolina Agravante, SPC, ABS-CBN’s Sikat Ka! Iloilo hosts Sedfrey Cabaluna and Charmaine Gail Nuñez, Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres, SPH medical professionals and patients, and the SPU Iloilo faculty members and students.
