PE Culminates With Rhythm and Dance

The The Physical Education Department had their culminating activity last March 1, 2014 from 7:30 in the morning till 2 in the afternoon at Fr. Louis Chauvet Multi-Purpose Hall. The event was participated by the entire Common First Year Program (CFP) and was guided by the theme, “Cultivating cultural awareness and empowerment through rhythm and dance.”

The one-day event was aimed at presenting all the skills and knowledge acquired and developed by the Paulinians in their Physical Education classes for the second semester of academic year 2013 to 2014. Grouped according to their classes, the CFP Paulinians prepared presentations and competed in four contests: Ilonggo or Folk Songs, Philippine Folk Dance, Foreign Dance, and Broadway Songs. CFP section G, a class composed of students taking up Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, won in two competitions: Ilonggo/Folk Songs and Philippine Folkdance. Meanwhile, CFP section K, a class composed of students taking up Bachelor of Science in Nursing, won in Foreign Dance. Last but not the least, CFP D, composed of students taking up Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management won in Broadway Songs.

The event was made successful due to the cooperation and contribution of each CFP classes and most especially due to the efforts of the PE Department Head, Mrs. Ninfa Ang, and the rest of the PE faculty, Mrs. Mary Jane De Gracia, Dr. Leomar de los Santos, and Mr. Lino Baldevarona.
