SPUI Bridging with Sprott Shaw College

St. Paul University Iloilo (SPUI) once again opened another door of opportunity for Paulinians, specifically to the HRM and Tourism students. On August 28, 2013, in pursuit of providing quality education to Paulinians, SPUI signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Sprott Shaw College (SSC) at 11:45 in the morning at the Big Instructional Media Center at St. Paul Building in SPUI campus. As the University President, Sr. Carolina Agravante, SPC stated, “SPUI is marking a historically significant partnership…for this will all the more help SPUI achieve its mission of producing globally competitive professionals.”

This partnership with SSC will introduce innovative training and instruction in two programs: Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management. Moreover, with this partnership, SPUI will be able to follow the instructional methodologies set by the renowned American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) which is being implemented in all SSC hospitality and tourism programs. Paulinians will be able to avail of AHLEI hospitality programs recognized in over 50 countries. Paulinians who successfully complete this program will receive AHLEI certificates which are recognized by employers and academic institutions worldwide. In addition, Paulinians have the opportunity to study and work in Canada through Sprott Shaw College and its network of affiliate schools across Canada.
